1. What are the four positive and four negative affects of tourism mentioned in the article?

The four positive affects are :

-          Tourism creates many jobs and careers

-          Tourism can help to protect environments and animal life

-          Tourism can save cultures and the local way of life

-          Tourism can change countries and people for the better.

The four negative affects are :

-          When the numbers of tourism has been increased, people become more worried about security and international terrorism, or the value of their currency changes.

-          Tourism also produces many poor and badly paid jobs.

-           Tourism can also change the people for the worse

-          Tourism can destroy cultures and the local of life , Tourism can also damage environments and animal life.

2. How many jobs in tourism can you think of?

I think of according to the tourism industry grows faster and faster each year , so many jobs which can offered to the people such as bartender, adventure tour guide, sales coordinator, small business owner/operator, host/hostess, housekeeping room attendant, concierge, event planner, etc.

3. Can you think of some recent international or national events that have affected the tourism industry?

I think There are some recent international or national events that have affected the tourism industry, for example in sports such as SEA GAMES 2011 in Palembang , Indonesian culture and arts as directly had been introduced to the foreigner or the participants of SEA GAMES party, people will see our culture, food and dance, traditional songs and others. In other part the event of APEC will be held in Bali, where all the state officials will be attended in this events.  APEC CEO Summit 2013 on 5-7 October in Bali, one of the world’s most beautiful islands. It’s being such as a  way  to introduced Bali by this event to keep the most beautiful and still the best island in the world for tourism place.

4. Do you think (find a certain place) as an object of tourism is a positive or a negative influence in our country?

According to my opinion with the perspective of increasing numbers of tourism in our country, there are many positives and negatives influence to find a certain place as an object for tourism.especially about Bali, it is create jobs, spread the development of government, people perception more extensive for example, the childreen who keep the beach seems able to speaking english, be a contributor to foreign exchange. But on other side with the higher growth of tourism in Bali can encourage high inflation, the competation of businesses being tight increasinly, can change the moral value ,attitude, belief and the rules of local community because in Bali has been opened many club or cafe which stay up 24hours day to day and it’s the influence of western culture, drug abuse. Eventhough the sea it doesn’t clear or stunning anymore, it can damage environments and break the flora and fauna.

5. Which countries would you like to visit? Why?

The country that I would like to visit is USA or America, because it’s the most country which has a big role to others country in the world. If you want to meet with the famous people in the world, America is the place you have to go, I spend many times to watch the western movie , I love listening to the western song, I love how faster the give help to others likes calling 911, so many interesting places there. Even America seems badly to the others country but I appreciate with his government who able to hold the some states in the one country. It’s not about the big building or empire state, but the beautiful weather, beautiful land and how it can rock the world. In other words I want to go there to meet some of my favourites person in the world. I hope if one day I’m going there, it ain’t about I enjoy my vacation but I want to take some jobs and get a lot of experience when I visit America. ;))
