PAPUA

Papua is the the big province in Indonesia, the island from the east of Indonesia. Eventhough according to the experts Papua is the biggest island in the world. The name of papua came from the melayu languange that’s means ‘curly’. Indonesia has been independent since 1945 but it’s not for Papua, actually papua came into NKRI at 1 mei 1963. 

Papua and west papua are different , there are two provinces, so if you’re talking about ‘raja ampat’ or four king , it isn’t papua but west papua. The province that over stay to west indonesia. There are 28 regency and one city in papua is Jayapura as the capital of papua and the center of government. The are 25 indegenous ethnic groups in papua and Asmat is the one of them that known in Indonesia. From statistic data, the avarage of papuan is about 52% and non papua 48%  who stay in papua. Christian protestan is the most and followed by chatolic and then mouslem in third and hindu , buddha.

Papua is the gold island , why do I say that? Because there are a lot of arts, languanges, culture, natural resources. Indoensian languange is using by us everyday and it’s the main languange in the society because especially in papua there are more than 268 vernacular. For example in my home Indonesia languange is the main languange because the languange from my father and my mother are different even they’re from one district and just different of village. So Indonesia language is really important in our communication. The arts and culture have diferrent depends on where the place have it. The traditional dance from papua we called Yospan. Puncak Jayawijaya mountain is known as one of seven highest summits in the world and it’s being the highest point in indonesia that passed by equator which produce eternal snow. The see, beach and forest are still like virgin and natural.

But if we’re talking about aducation and development in Papua seems so far from expetation of papuan. A lot of people in papua have touch yet by it. And it’s the influence of the less caring from government. Sometimes it’s being a problem that makes papuan want to get independent because some of them feel colonized on their place. Unfortunately , The conflicts in papua still asking more victims of the children, woman, young people, worker and many others. Sometimes I think why we’ve to get independence although it’s killed the people who we love? But it’s about politics , money, economy and perhaps peace papua.May the caring more and protecting from government to the papuan is keep in way. I think that’s all about papua and thank you.
